Rotary International is a humanitarian service organization that brings together business and professional leaders in order to provide community service, promote integrity, and advance goodwill, peace, and understanding in the world.[1] It is a non-political and non-religious organization. Membership is by invitation and based on various social factors. There are over 46,000[2] member clubs worldwide, with a membership of 1.4 million individuals, known as Rotarians.[1]

Rotary deserves its own section so here it is.   When I joined the Jackson Noon Club in February of 1994 I really had little idea about what Rotary was or how extensive its reach is in the realm of Service.    I literally joined to keep my wonderful, but not-so-articulate, father from having to repeatedly introduce me as his guest.  (When he retired Mom said “I married you for better or worse.  Not for lunch”.   I have since acquired 28 years of perfect attendance at clubs around the world, been club president, short-term assistant district governor, and now the club’s Zoom Master.

This section may also provide information about Rotary International from time to time and be hopefully a resource for anyone seeking to know more about this wonderful organization.
